"Pumpkin" Cross Stitch Card

Hi Everyone!

I wanted to share a card I made using cross-stiching.  I saw inspired by Jennifer McGuire's cross stitch videos a while back, and was finally able to give it a try!   I went with a simple pumpkin design for my first go around.  Although it took some time, it was definitely therapeutic.

Here is my card and a close up of the stitching and sparkly cardstock...

I used the Neenah Desert Storm Cardstock for my card base.  The cross stitch die is by Paper Smooches.  I die cut the cross stitch patter twice, and then colored in the holes that I would be threading through.  This was my template and it's one I can use over and over again. Afer I finished cross stiching the pumpkin, I taped down the ends with the scotch tape.
I used Paper Smooches Leaves Dies and the "thanks" die by Your Next Stamp.  I layered my finished card stock onto some glitter cardstock before adhering it to my base card stock.

Little Lion "Congrats" card

Hi Everyone!

This is my 2nd card using the turnabout stamp!  I used different colors for this one.
I completed this card from the Let It Shine Lesson 1 - Glitter

Here is my card...

I created the background using the Triangle Turnabout Stamp from Concord & 9th.  I used a combination of Distress Oxide Inks and Lawn Fawn Pigment inks for the background.  The stamped lion image is from Imaginese, and was a free stamp I received from Doodlebugswa.com a while back. I remember coloring the image right away using my zig markers...the image has sat on my desk ever since!  I used silver glitter paper for the "Congrats" sentiment die, which is from Pink and Main.

I used the color inspiration from The Color Throwdown -  CTD516

Baby "Welcome" Card

Hi Everyone!

Good to be back again!  I took some time this weekend to organize my craft area, and found my craft mojo in the process!  I churned out some cards, and look forward to sharing them this week!

Back in the Spring, I was accepted into Altenew Academy's Altenew Educator Certification Program. I wasn't able to dive right in this past summer, but time is finally on my side!  I'm a big fan of EVERYTHING Altenew, and so this is all very exciting for me.  I'm looking forward to taking the classes and creating my projects!

I became an aunt to two baby boys this past summer, so I have been itching to create a few baby themed cards...I used one of may favorite stamp sets from Your Next Stamp for this one.  I completed this card from the Let It Shine Lesson 3 - Embellishments class.

Here is my card...

I created the background using the Triangle Turnabout Stamp from Concord & 9th.  I am really loving this stamp , and left it right in my Misti so that I can create some more backgrounds this week.  I used Distress Oxide Inks and Lawn Fawn ink for the background.  The stamped image and sentiment are from the "Woodland Cuties" set from Your Next Stamp.  I topped off the card with clear "Sunshine Mix" Sequins from Simon Says Stamp. I also gave the raccoon some googly eyes!

"Love" - Selfie Card

Hi Everyone!

So happy to be back even if it's for a little bit.  I haven't been actively posting as I've been spending a lot of time with my girls.

I cleaned up my desk last night, so here's to hoping I get some cards done before it becomes messy again!

I received a Valentine's Day card request from a friend yesterday, and put this together last night.  It's similar to one I created in the past.  LOVE this adorable "selfie" couple stamp for Love Cynthia.

Here is my card...

I created the background using distress inks and a stencil from MFT.  The stamped image is from Love Cynthia, and was colored in using copics.  The "love" sentiment die is from Your Next Stamp.  I topped off the cell phone and heart shaped hair pin with glossy accents.
